Denis Pulman celebrates 90th birthday!

Recently, three generations of two of the founding families of Abram Pulman, gathered to celebrate Denis Pulman’s 90th birthday. His great, great grandfather was Abram Pulman who launched the company in 1830. Also present was current Managing Director, David Shoesmith, whose great, grandfather was F C Shoesmith, who originally incorporated the company in 1898. Together with his father, Charles Richard Shoesmith [83], who was Managing Director from 1972 to 1993, and Henry Shoesmith, 19, who is a great, great grandson of FC Shoesmith. Pulman Steel is now totally owned and run by the Shoesmith family.
