CE Marking for fabricated structural steelwork is mandatory from 1st July. Businesses who deal in steel in Yorkshire and Lancashire were the lucky ones in a sense, as Pulman Steel, always ahead of the game, held a day of free Seminars to help its clients understand the new rulings full implications.
Ably assisted by CE specialists Keith Harland from Crown Management Systems and with an overview of the welding standard, BS 3834, by John Turner of BNDT, [Bolton Non-Destructive Testing & Inspection Ltd.], the Seminars were attended by nearly 100 interested parties.
