The Chancellor visits Pulman Steel

As the general election becomes nearer many politicians are doing their ‘rounds’. Abram Pulmans were fortunate enough to be selected from a great array of companies based ‘Up North’ to receive a visit from the current Chancellor George Osbourne.
After a brief chat with MD David Shoesmith, the two proceeded to walk around the manufacturing site. Chatting to staff and asking relevant questions regarding business, production and staffing concerns the Chancellor took an interest in many aspects of the business. He seemed impressed at the comprehensive stock levels of steel held and Pulman Steel and in turn Pulmans found Mr Osbourne to be very personable and attentive.
Whatever our political views, Mr Osbournes visit made for an interesting day and something to chat about in the staff canteen.
