What can we say about 2020, I know many of us wish to forget the whole year!
Businesses and individuals have faced their own unique challenges that Covid19 brought to the table.
Whilst 2020 has been difficult for Pulman's, thankfully we are all healthy, still in business and delighted to be employing many local people. Many companies have been under financial pressure, which in turn has led to employees struggling, and if that wasn’t enough, we were not permitted to meet face to face which took the ‘human’ element out of business and general life.
Although, we cannot come and see our customers as we usually do, we do want to enter into the Christmas spirit with a little Ho, Ho, Ho. This year instead of our usual calendars and Christmas gifts, we thought it would be more appropriate to donate to a grassroots charity. We know our customers are like-minded and are sure they will agree that this is the right thing to do. After all, we all want to be on the nice list this year.
There are so many amazing charities to donate to and after a little research we have decided on CTC The Gathering Place.
CTC The Gathering Place is a charitable organisation working within the Calderdale community. It’s main activity is a food bank offering parcels of food, toiletries and bedding to people in severe financial stress. CTC The Gathering Place also run a homeless winter shelter during the coldest months of the year and the help is open to all.
The thought of anyone without food, warmth and shelter is a very worrying one. This fantastic charity may not change the world, but it makes a difference on a genuine level to individuals and families whatever age, religion or ethnicity.
We are thrilled to be donating to this lovely charity and if our contribution makes one persons Christmas a little bit better, we will be content.
